My daughter finally got me to try Stardew Valley a few years ago. I find it a good distraction but not a black hole like you tube or tiktok.. as for who I've married, I've gotten far enough to have married Sebastian, Harvey, and Sam in 3 different games.
Hope im not too late, but i would LOVE to be part of the review team!
Im happy you started Stardew Valley, it’s been on my list for years but I’m yet to be in the right mental space for that game. Playing games that are a time loop and suck you in makes me anxious, which is why I rather play adventures.
Thank you for talking about perimenopause, i’m not far behind in age and i was wondering how it’d look like. Hoping there’s something that can be done about those symptoms, it sounds rough.
Not too late! I'm the one running late trying to do my line edits, oof. Let me know a good email for you, either here or email me at fabulousfrock@mac.com.
I had the same thought about Stardew, I've put off playing it for years...but this has been a good time to play it. I found it to be very addictive at first but settles down once the farm gets more established, now it's something I can just pick up for an hour.
I'll warn you about perimenopause, most doctors don't learn ANYTHING about it in medical school and it's very common to have your symptoms completely dismissed. I've had a male doctor for years and he said, I just don't know anything about it. So I tried an older lady doctor and she was WORSE. Very dismissive. Just told me to take vitamin B. Like, that ain't cutting it lady. So I went to see a specific menopause doctor but I have to pay for everything out of pocket and it's hard to swallow the expense, especially when it seems to be a fairly changeable situation.

Yes, I have also found it to be just the RIGHT sort of distraction for those moments...

I started playing recently and I ended up marrying Sam the boy who loves pizza and his skateboard.
Let me know if it is still open to be on the review team. Thanks!
